The New Prague Service Unit is hosting a summer trip to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder Homestead & attractions in De Smet, SD.
We'll learn about the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder & pioneering history through hands-on activities at the LIW homestead, attend the annual LIW pageant/play "By the Shores of Silver Lake" while enjoying an evening on the prairie, & also tour the actual home that "Pa" built, the schoolhouse that Laura & Carrie attended, & more! It's bound to be a fantastic trip, maybe even a once-in-a-lifetime experience, & a definite must-see for any fan of "Half Pint"!
Who: Open to registered Girl Scouts of all ages!
When: July 20-21, 2019
Cost: $150 per person ($75 deposit due ASAP to reserve your spot! Final payment of $75 due 4/15/19).
Cost includes round-trip bus fare, overnight lodging at the LIW Homestead (tent camping), 3 meals & snack, Homestead entrance fee & activities, Pageant ticket, Memorial Society tour entrance fee & activities, Laura Ingalls Wilder patch, & T-shirt.
