Late Night Polar Camp at the Museum
Calling all Girls, 4th grade and above!
Does the idea of winter camping leave you cold? Attend Late Night Polar Camp for Girls at the North Star Museum and you’ll soon “warm up” to the idea! Learn key skills for enjoying winter camping:
Clothing—Learn about different types of clothing to wear for various chilly outdoor activities … and why.
Sleep—Find out how to sleep in a tent outside in winter.
Prepare—Identify the types of emergency equipment necessary for winter activities.
Eat—Practice cold weather outdoor cooking with vagabond stoves (we will be cooking indoors).
Fire—Understand the tricks to making a fire in winter, when snow is all around and firewood is wet.
