Order of the Trefoils

Order of the Trefoils is a volunteer-led group in GIrl Scouts of WI and MN River Valleys' Council. We created OOTTs in 2013 as a way for service unit managers throughout River Valleys to connect and support one another, share information about upcoming events and activities, discuss ideas, get suggestions, and much more. Added bonus - we have a really cool new patch for our group!

Winter Fun Badge Day for Daisies & Brownies

Winter themed activities and treats including cryogenics experiments, swaps, fashion show, cookie decorating and "frozen" crafts.​

Date: Sat Jan 25 Time: 8 - 10 am (Daisy) and 12 - 2 pm (Brownie)

I Cookie'd and Won! Girl Scout Cookie Rally

The Girl Scouts of Westonka/Orono Girl Scouts invite all Girl Scouts to gear up for cookie season by participating in a game show themed cookie rally!

 

Orono High School Gym

1-3 pm

$5 per Girl Scout / Adults free

Girl Scouts will work in teams to gain valuable cookie knowledge and selling tips and tricks while playing Family Feud and Win, Lose or Draw. Girl Scouts will then participate in a round of the hit NBC crafting show "Making It!". Girl Scouts will put their creativity to use to construct a cookie booth kit.

Of course, there will also be cookie sampling, prize viewing to round out a fun filled afternoon!

Cookie Rally Family Event

Girl Scout Roller Garden Cookie Rally

Date:  Jan 26, 2020 (Sun)

Location:  The Roller Garden - 5622 West Lake Street St. Louis Park, MN 55416

Please join us for the Girl Scouts’ Cookie Rally Family Event where you can eat cookies, make an origami fox as our cookie mascot, roller skate and spend time with your troop and meet new friends. Siblings, family members and friends are welcome. (No drop offs please unless approved by your troop leader.)   Just $5 per person. RSVP’s are not required, but helpful for planning purposes.

Girl Scout Way Day Badge for Brownies & Juniors

The volunteers at the North Star Museum of Boy Scouting & Girl Scouting want to help you earn most of the Girl Scout Way Badge!

  • Sing! Singing is a Girl Scout tradition. We’ll learn some oldies-but-goodies and some new songs, too.

  • Celebrate! We’ll talk about Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouts, and celebrate her life.

  • Snacks!

  • Crafts! Have fun making a special craft with your friends.

  • Circle! Girl Scouts always close meetings with a friendship circle.

$12 per Girl Scout for museum members and $15 per Girl Scout for non-members.

Winter Encampment

What: Come join your sister Girl Scouts as we enjoy the winter weather! We will go snowshoeing, cross country skiing, build fires in the snow, do science experiments, create winter art, and learn about the winter night sky.

 

When: Friday January 31st at 6:30p.m. – Sunday February 2nd at 10:00a.m.

Where: Camp Elk River, 10775 237th Ave NW, Zimmerman, MN 55398

Cost: $40.00 per girl / $15.00 per adult* Includes all camp activities, meals, and a super cool patch! * A

dult registration is limited to registered leaders/volunteers only. Troops are responsible for Safety Wise ratios. We have very limited space and cannot allow additional adults over Safety Wise ratios to register.

 

Deadline: Please have all paperwork and payment in by Friday January 24th

Cadette Media Journey Workshop

Please join us for "Media" Cadette Journey in a Day. Cadettes put the "me" in Media as this journey encourages them to explore the great big multi-media world around them and then remake media to better match the reality they know. Along the way, Cadettes become aware of the value of media, its limitations and effect and the power they have to lead and inspire others. When they have completed this workshop, they will be ready to work with their troop on their Take Action Project!

$15 per Girl Scout, $5 for patch set

World Thinking Day

Travel around the world with fellow Girl Scouts!  Individual troops will set up their own country display and feature a very short art project, physical activity, food (nut-free) and/or artifacts from that country.   Hurry to register to get your country - only one troop per country!    

Scouts from Daisies to Ambassadors will get their own passports and custom patch.   Cadettes and above can choose to create their very own country and passport stamp.

 

Date:  Saturday, February 22, 2020.

Location:  Kenwood Rec Center (2101 W Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55405)

  • Set-up at 8:30 

  • Event from 9-11

  • Clean-up 11-11:30  

Cost: $ 7 per girl and all adults are free.  Girl Scholarships are available.

Safety: Troops are responsible for the correct adult to girl ratios as defined  in Safety-Wise

Jester's Day Camp at Camp Lakamaga

Jester's Day Camp is a great opportunity for girls to be active outdoors, make new friends, learn new skills and have a really good time while still being able to go home each night.  

Camp runs Monday through Friday with bus service from Woodbury, Cottage Grove and South Minneapolis.

$215 per camper (Grades 1 - 6) by April 15th.  $240 after the 15th.

$60 per Caddie (Grades 7 - 12).

One camper goes free with a full-time adult volunteer (boys unit and day care is also available for adult volunteers for a minimal cost).

Annual Baylor Park Camporee—June 22-24, 2020

Location-Carver County Park-Baylor Park near Norwood.

Time: Mon., June 22-9:00 a.m.-Tues., June 23-2:00 p.m. Must attend entire time to complete Journey. Tues 2:00-Wed. 3:00 earn badges connected to the journey and other outdoor badges and have fun

This event is open to all registered girl scouts in K-12.

Daisies will earn--3 cheers for Animals;

Brownies-A World of Girls; Juniors—Amuse;

Cadettes—Media;

Seniors—Mission Sisterhood;

Ambassadors—Bliss.

Caddoodles

Join us at Caddoodles 2020! For Girls entering 6th through 8th grade in the Fall 2020, learn the skills to become Junior Caddies and Caddies all while making new friends. Program runs from Monday, Aug 10 at 9 am to Thursday, Aug 13 at 4 pm. Registration deadline is June 29. Fee is $150 (daughter is free with a full-time adult volunteer). See flyer for more details.

Camp Spookamaga

Camp Spookamaga, Sat Oct 10, 2020 from 1:30 - 8pm.

 

For Older Girl Scouts, 6th grade to 12th grade, Camp Spookamaga is your opportunity to imagine, design, and create a Halloween-themed fright site. It could be anything from telling stories around a campfire to running a haunted house. Younger Girl Scout troops and their families will come to Camp Spookamaga on Saturday to creep through the haunted camp, view and participate, be frightened (or not so frightened), and have fun while being thrilled and chilled by your fright or slight fright site.
